Did you know...

...in Texas your AC system removes 8 – 12 gallons of moisture from your home every day when it is cooling? That there are factors we often see (75%+ of houses), less experienced AC technicians miss, that prevent this removal of moisture? ...And that if this is missed, you are incubating contaminates (mold, bacteria, more...) in your ducting zone (throughout your home) in a way that will require it be replaced (cost, $25 to $45K) and/or lead to health issues? This is important because...

...a property’s AC is typically the only weapon a property has to maintain safe RH levels. If your AC and home are working together effectively (we find, conservatively, 75% are not), RH levels should range from 45% to 50%RH when cooling. High moisture levels provide an environment which invites growth of fungi (mold), bacteria, or protists. For example, if you are seeing “persistent” RH levels at 55%+ some mold species (stachybotrys) are already able to incubate and levels “persistently” at or above 60% is an indication a plethora of other species are finding a favorable environment for incubation. This incubation can lead to both financial (replacement of your AC duct zone) and/or serious health related challenges (inception or amplification of both common and less common maladies). What can you do to protect yourself or your family from having this as an out-of-(your)pocket cost; a detriment to their health if you suspect these conditions exist!?
